I have always been chronically indecisive. Over the years, I’d turned ignoring my gut instincts into an art form. Even when I knew a decision was the right one, the “what-about-isms” would creep in, and I’d often be paralysed – missing opportunities, or getting stuck in situations that made me unhappy.
When I took up tarot on a whim during lockdown, I wasn’t expecting much – perhaps a good party trick, or a conversation starter for whenever I was finally back in a room with my friends. What I got was a shortcut to my instincts.
